The team is built on trust and experience, with Nick and Wayne having worked together for over 10 years as long-time friends, now joined by Lloyd as part of the team.

Managing Director
Nick founded Sonam Capital from a background as a commercial banker. He realised there was a better way to do business and deliver broader lending solutions to clients.
His experience within the financial services industry extends to Financial Structuring, Capital Sourcing, Portfolio Management, Financial Risk, Business Relationship Management, and Risk Management. Strong sales professional graduated from The University of Western Australia.
When not working hard for his clients, Nick has his hands full as a father of three finding time to swim and surf whenever he can. He loves to call Perth his home, and is proudly a 6th generation Sandgroper.

Executive Director
Wayne made the big decision to become a Finance Broker after 20 years working for Major Banks. The reason for the move was a thirst for being able to seek out the best outcome for borrowers, across an array of different debt and equity providers.
Wayne’s experience in banking gives him a good knowledge base across the finance industry. His areas of expertise include business finance, commercial property finance, equipment finance, property development and home finance.
His banking career included 7 years living in London, Hong Kong and Brisbane. However, Wayne ultimately returned home to Perth, where he can’t think of anywhere better to raise his young family. A self-confessed sport tragic, he also loves anything to do with the beach.

Senior Finance Executive
Lloyd Whitby is a Senior Finance Executive at Sonam Capital with more than 25 years’ experience across residential, commercial and business finance.
Lloyd works closely with individuals, families, business owners and property investors to deliver tailored lending solutions across home loans, investment lending, commercial finance, equipment finance and development funding. His extensive industry experience and relationship-focused approach allow him to simplify complex finance transactions and guide clients through every stage of the lending process.
Known for his responsiveness and practical advice, Lloyd is passionate about helping clients achieve their financial goals while building long-term trusted relationships.
Outside of work, Lloyd enjoys keeping active, fishing, golf and spending time with his two children.
